In Chapter 9, Matthew diverts from his multiples of six, and tells us seven stories. In the first three stories Matthew is speaking wholly of holiness. We see:
a roof with a hole in it
a rat with a whole lot of money
a ruler with a hole in his heart
We already looked at the leaky roof. The rat was Matt the Tax Man. And it was Jairus whose heart had a hole from the death of his daughter.
