In an unfortunate change of events, after God whips off His list of the 21 favorite sins of previous generations, He adds (Ro 1.32):
Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
Oh those awful people.
Filthy, self-centered, sinners.
Then the guys (the canonites) who broke the Bible down into chapters did us the wonderful favor of cutting off God’s train of thought right there, as we continue on to chapter two.
Chapter two starts off with “therefore,” so it’s a continuation of the last thing He just said.
Therefore you have no excuse (O Marcos), you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.
OUCH.
Hey, I thought we were talking about generations past!
Unfortunately, He is saying I am one of those who “practice such things,” and “approve of those who practice them,” and then I top it off with judging others who are doing the very same things.”
Ouch, Ouch, Ouch.
