Something kicks in

Updated: Aug 25

When we arm ourselves with thinking that it’s acceptable to suffer in the flesh—like Jesus thinks,

and when we do suffer in the flesh,

something kicks in…

Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,  so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God.

1 Peter 4.1-2

We gain a lifelong advantage of being able to choose God’s will

rather than its opposite: living according to our fleshy I-want-its.
