Seeking

John tells us that when Jesus stepped into the boat, they were immediately on the shore (6.21). Kind of like the eunuch’s baptism (Acts 8), he came up out of the water and Phillip had vanished.

Back on the beach, the breaded folks from the day before did their CSI thing and realized, 12 men in a boat, and boat is gone. But also, Jesus is gone, how’d that happen? I imagine this caused quite a stir.

So they, “went to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.” (John 6.24)

Forty-nine years ago, I went to Tijuana, Mexico seeking something, I did not know what.

I found Jesus.
