My cup

There was no McDonald’s in sight, so Jesus asked Phillip for suggestions on where to buy lunch for the impromptu church picnic [Jn 6.5].

“No way, José. It would take about 8 months’ wages to feed this gang.” Phillip saw the cup ¾ empty.

Andrew, however, chimed in, “there’s a kid here with 5 donuts and 2 fish tacos, it’s something, but not nearly enough.”Andrew saw the cup ¼ full.

Jesus took the loaves and gave thanks.

His cup was overflowing.

Ah, the profound power of giving thanks.

Me, I need to always remember, He can do abundantly more than I ask or imagine.

Consequently, my cup is continually in running-over mode.
