I want to

Updated: May 11

Peter reminds us, in chapter one, that we have pure souls. Then he mentions pure hearts.

I don’t know if a pure heart is part of a package deal, always accompanying a pure soul.

Or whether God is telling us that since we have a pure soul, we can work on making our heart pure.

Either way, pure hearts are for loving, not fake love, not casual love, but a sincere and earnest love.

Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart…

1 Peter 1.22

I want to love like that.
