Junk street

We are so excited about our salvation, that we rejoice.

Even though, Peter 1.6 says, we battle with all kinds of trials.

"In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials."

Different versions of this verse say:

  • we are afflicted

  • we put up with

  • we have heaviness

  • we suffer trials

All of them are saying the very same thing—in the middle of our rejoicing about our eternal inheritance in Jesus, we walk, often enough, through the ugly road called Junk Street.

But that’s ok.

That’s life on Earth.

Our rejoicing is just too strong and too constant to let Junk Street get us down.
