I got up early. Made coffee. Even though it was dirty, I poured the brew into my “thankful” cup. Because my thankful cup helps me to remember—first things first—to be thankful, and to bless His holy name this early morning, because I dwell in the shelter of the Most High.
I listened to my daily Bible “reading”—I am in Exodus. Moses was talking to I AM in the bush. Then I read and answered emails.
And then I checked over last month’s books, cleaning up a bit of sloppy bookkeeping. Funds have been tight, so I did have to do some borrowing from Peter to pay Paul.
No complaining. When the apostle wrote that he could do all things through Christ who makes him strong, he was specifically writing about finances—sometimes over and above, sometimes just barely—.
The idea is to keep my eyes on Jesus. Trusting Him. Praising Him!
After that, I picked up a “real” Bible and opened to where I am reading… slowly going through John. After 3 or 4 weeks at the well in Sychar, I made it to the pool of Bethesda in Jerusalem.
Next, I worked on editing the book I published years ago on relationships for young guys and gals in their challenging teen years. The book needs some revamping, so I am working on that. This week I will travel to Monterrey in eastern Mexico to speak to youth, and I will be talking on this same subject—The Babys, the Boys, and the Besos.
Finally, I filmed some videos. I did four this morning… for a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday a couple of weeks down the road. (I just thought I would brag a bit that I am ahead of the game with videos, because that is a rarity for me!)
Then breakfast, and now it is time to head out to worship God with the church of Porvenir and, together, learn His word.
A good day, my Sunday.
