Crowns

Updated: Oct 20

Speaking to the gray-haired shepherds, more specifically to the ones who were not in it for the power, the position, or the celebrity, Peter writes in I Peter 5.4:

When the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

First of all, I never contemplated the concept of crowns that fade, that just goes to show I don’t know as much as I think I know.

But crowns... When I read Revelation, it is revealed to me that crowns are mostly for taking off to cast before His throne.

That, to me, makes a whole lot more sense than wearing it.

He is worthy.
