Does Jesus feel betrayed?

Mom says, “The soup is cooking. I am going out for a bit, turn the stove off

when the soups is done.”

Two hours later, Mom comes home, the house stinks. The soup is still on, all broth dried out, soup burnt to a crisp.

Mom feels betrayed. No one could even do so much as turn off the stove and save the soup?

Jesus said...

“The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground… and

the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how."

Jesus continues,

“The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the

full grain in the ear.”

And then the bottom line, harvest time:

“When the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the

harvest has come.”

At once. That farmer doesn’t want to start even 10 minutes late. When the

full grain is in the ear, it is time.

Yet, in another portion of scripture Jesus said,

“You say there’s plenty of time to bring in the harvest, but I say RIGHT

NOW RIGHT HERE the fields are shining white.”

Yet the harvesters go to church and then go home.

I wonder if Jesus, like Mom, feels betrayed…

No one could even do so much as go out and bring in the harvest?
