Epa

Epa

In Venezuelan Spanish Epa kind of means “Hey.”

I’ll shout out a “Hey” to Paul’s buddy Epaphras who was the Gentile church planter in Colossae.

…the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth,

just as you learned it from Epaphras our beloved fellow servant.

He is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf

Col 1.6b-7

Later, Epa was a prisoner in Rome, and always he was a real prayer warrior.

Praying, for Epa, was not just saying, ”Hey thanks, Lord,” when he sat down for tacos.

He fought battles in prayer.

No wonder the Colossian church was so solid.

But we will  have to wait ‘til chapter four to see that.
